|
Rocky Mountain Fencing Academy

instruction and open fencing for everybody. We are proud to
present opportunities for anyone to practice one of the original
Olympic sports in a friendly, easy going environment.
We welcome both newcomers
to the sport and experienced competitors who want to train like
professional athletes. No matter who you are, there will always
be a good match for you at our club. Call ahead and arrange for
your introductory lesson. We have all the equipment available
for loan to get beginners started right away.
Rocky Mountain Fencing Academy (RMFA)
was created on January 2009 in Denver. Main sport facility is
located in Colorado Springs the other one (new) in Denver. RMFA was founded by Maciej
Czyzowicz a Polish Olympic Champion in Modern Pentathlon but
also an Epee fencer. Since 2000 Maciej started working as Sport
Manager for Polish pentathlon and work with best pentathletes in
the world. He moved to America in 2003 and has worked with
Cheyenne Fencing Society the biggest fencing club in Denver. He
has helped create top US fencers who have won multiple numbers
of medals on Summer Nationals and Junior Olympics. Some of them
have moved on to join national cadets and junior teams. During
this time Maciej perform over 100 demos for schools, local
communities, recreation centers ...etc. The club has grown
tremendously and continues to offer exceptional fencing
facilities for all epee fencers.
Rocky Mountain Fencing Academy has programs
specifically geared toward all types of fencers; from
children and youth programs to adult classes to highly
competitive coaching for world class athletes. As well, the RMFA
offers junior and varsity programs in a number of schools in the
Denver and Colorado Springs area to better prepare young
athletes for collegiate fencing teams.
Important for us is that the club strives to make every fencer
successful. The key to this objective is that the club realizes that the
definition of success is personal and individual. Some members may never
choose to compete. Others are focused on a more varied fencing
experience of competition and winning tournament at all levels. We
are fully support these positions and have structured the club to make
sure that each fencer will be able to find success.
RMFA in January 2009 moved to their new home in Colorado Springs
and using space of Cheyenne Mountain Charter Academy gym located at:
Cheyenne Mountain Charter Academy
1832 S. Wahsatch Ave
Colorado Springs, CO 80333
The other new facility is located in Denver at:
Denver Fencing Center
1938 S. Navajo St.
DEnver, CO 80223
We also offer week long fencing clinics for fencers during the
year. Keep an eye on our website for additional information and
upcoming dates.
Community Outreach
Rocky Mountain Fencing Academy
is organization dedicated
to promoting the sport of fencing, making it accessible to
children and young adults who might not otherwise be able before
to learn this beautiful sport. This is accomplished through
various methods including community outreach programs. We never
turn away from a young student who wants to learn to fence.
If you are interested in making a contribution to help promote
fencing programs in your community, school, or in working with
us to help bring fencing to more young people, please contact:
